"Blue Lightning" is the name given to the Community Services Bureau's award winning van. It's a 1993 Chevrolet G10 cargo van that has been transformed into a customized, attention getting showpiece. Besides its function as a police vehicle, it doubles as a show truck. Since its unveiling at the 1994 Memorial Day parade the van has won nine (9) trophies / awards from various car/truck shows. These include:

The trophy case gets bigger and bigger!



In addition to the awards, the van stars in the Bureau's first video production. The video is used in the van's multimedia center. The customization of the van was generously performed by Topo Customs of Saddle Brook and Signs & Designs by DJ of Paterson. In addition, Firestone of Saddle Brook donated 4 new Firehawk tires for the van in November, 1998. We are deeply indebted to our friends at each businesses.
