Saddle Brook Police Department

Marked Vehicle Fleet

September 2007 saw the department deploy three marked
Dodge Chargers to replace some of the aging fleet. The Dodge
Charger was chosen over other manufacturers due to its overwhelming
success in testing by various agencies across the nation. The
Michigan State Police annually test all police package vehicles and
ranked the Dodge Charger as the "best they had ever tested".

2003 saw the reintroduction of the black and white patrol car.
The department currently utilizes 3 of the Ford Crown Victoria.
The remaining vehicles were replaced by Dodge Chargers in
September 2007.

The Department currently has two motorcycles, a Harley Davidson Road King and a BMW.
Both motors were donated at now cost to the tax payers. Learn more about our motor unit.

The Department division also utilizes a Ford Expedition in the rough winter months.

The most colorful unit is the Community Services / DARE Unit Van.
This 1993 Chevrolet van has been involved with the Department's
Community Policing initiatives for almost 14 years and is still going.
