Motorcycle Unit
In late 2002, the Saddle Brook Police Department received a
donation of a refurbished 1998 BMW Police Motorcycle. The motorcycle originally
saw service as a part of the California Highway Patrol. It was refurbished by
BMW prior to its placement into service in Saddle Brook. The motorcycle has
been lettered and placed into limited service for use at special events such
as parades, escorts and more recently for routine patrol functions. In addition
it will be used in conjunction with our Traffic Safety Unit for increase programming
in vehicular and pedestrian safety programs and enforcement.
The response from those that have seen the motorcycle in action has been overwhelming.
On 01/07/2004, the Saddle Brook Police Department took delivery
of the 2001 Harley Davidson
Police motorcycle. The motor was donated by Joseph Sanzari of Sanzari Contracting.
We thank him for his generosity.
This motorcycle was added to the BMW already in service
